Hey! this is my first time running a bushing footstop/ a foot stop in general and I was wondering if this would have an effect on truck performance because the bushing isnt solid? I've heard people on forums saying that having one loose bolt can cause issues and this is kind of the same thing, I've been running it for about 2 weeks and havent noticed any but I wanted to check because if its damaging the deck i cant afford that lol.

Also this is my first time making a post with pictures and the pictures look massive in the draft so sorry in advance if they are :/

  • @Sun we cant see any pictures, maybe try reuploading them in a comment?

  • I like to redrill for putting on a footstop.

  • @Jon LaPlant thats weird thanks though! did this one work?

  • @Sun thats perfectly fine. If you wanna improve it in any way just use the hardest bushing you have i guess

  • those other three bolts can hold truck ...that bushing footstop one is working fine.

i agree that using hardest bushing you can do the wear down from asphalt & against other boards in shuttle , your shoetoe will wear soft bushings down in that use context.  I suppose that maybe why is like Riptide are made outta like , 98a urethane(?) ....I think cup washer might hold it more securely, too but that's not imperative

  • @Jon LaPlant thanks so much!

  • @Jefe W ok cool!! i thought so! That makes sense, I might try running a cupped washer on it actually! thanks so much!

  • @Sun I usually fill the inside of the bushing with hot glue and when its still a bit hot but not so liquid i run the bolt through it to make a small tube that fills the space between the pieces. It works quite well, you can use some kind of tape around the bolt for similar effect, totally recommended.

  • @F Llabata oooo I've Never heard of that! Thanks so much for the advice!

  • @Sun hahahhaha youre welcome!
