Dance/Freestyle Introductory Post

  • I dunno if this outta pocket for me. But I wanted to make a thread to better know the dancers/freestylers:

INTRODUCE YOURSELF THREAD: (feel free to answer whatever, the below are suggestions)

What's your name, where u from, social media:

How long you've been skating, and or skating dance/fs:

Dance style or type of music u listen to:

    Fav trick/dance combo/steps:

Or anything else that I didn't think of :) (like favorite setup, a photo, whatever)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    Ex:

Hi! I'm Justin Chang, I'm the current dance/freestyle director of the Purdue Longboarding Club, and I've been skating for 4 years, dance/FS for 3. You can find me on justinschenchang (insta) where I barely post. I like extremely quick steps since I like listening to j-pop/rock, and phonk. My fav trick so far is probably 360 nollie shuv, because it's the only flashy trick I know :(. I consider myself a big fan of the longboard dance community, and wish to get myself more involved and good enough to go to SYCLD one day.

  • Hi, I'm Raphael,

new to this forum, although not new to the wrongboarding lifestyle.

(I think we should have a general Introduction thread, not exclusively Dancing/Freestyle, maybe we should add/pin it to the General channel...)

Anyways let's go (changed it a bit):

What's your name, where u from, social media:

    • Raphael
    • Germany
    • @raphael.heckmeck on insta but rarely posting, check out my homies @teamheckmeck
    • formerly aka boardwrecka in the fish, gnarwheels and longboardz forum

    How long you've been skating:

Had my first toy skateboard as a kid, then started getting into longboarding in my teens 13years ago. Got into dancing and DH/freeriding 1 year after starting, and then picked up a bit of slalom and LDP a few years later as well.

    Skate style:

Everything. If it is a board with wheels, I try it. If it doesn't have wheels, I still try it. So freeride, techslide, dancing, slalom, street, snowboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, freeskates...

    Fav trick/dance combo/steps:

Don't care but the weirder, the better

Or anything else that I didn't think of :) (like favorite setup, a photo, whatever)

Been through a lot of setups but things that I keep coming back to:

    • 120cm/47" dancers
    • Single kick freeride setups with 55cm/22" WB
    • 35" Double kicks with 16-17" WB
    • Riding a LY Evo every now and then.
