Important information from the Instagram page:
The Woodbooger Freeride is an event by the Downhill Community, for the Downhill Community
Essentially what that means-
- There is no massive financial backing.
- There is no single person interested in making a large profit.
- if the community wants it to happen, it happens!
- If they dont, no problem!
The City has been stoked to host us, knowing that this is the one chance to skate this EXTREMELY fun road.
So here's what's up ...
- It's well into a 5 digit cost to make Woodbooger happen, and we need a sizeable amount of Volunteers to make it happen.
- Putting this event together, this deep in the mountains, and keeping it affordable- is not sustainable with the looming potential for a low attendance.
- We know you WANT to skate this road.
- What we need is everyone to commit to skating this road.
Here's how we're going to do that...
- Registration will open later today is open now!
- Its $240 to skate both days. Camping is included
- We need 80 registrations by June 19
- Within those registrations, we need Volunteers. And here's how that looks...
- We have 44 volunteer shifts during the event that need filling- Marshals and Drivers
- We need 13-ish people to help us move hay on Friday before the event
- And 13-ish to help us pick it up Sunday into Monday after the event.
- If you take any 1 shift- $70 off reg
- If you take any 2 shifts- $140 off reg
- AND – If you move hay both days, and take 2 shifts You skate 100% Free
Let us be clear;
- We 100% want this event to happen.
- We are going to promote the f*** out of it and
- WE WILL FIND THE WOODBOOGER
