what big square lip wheel do you ride and why?

  • trying to gauge what the cool kids ride these days

  • I got A1's but I'm not a fan. Honestly the hills near me are so damn chip sealed I don't even feel safe downhilling on big wheels and trying to grip lines so it's Green kebos and 88 Mcflys and chopped Magz for now.

  • I'm not cool myself, but i recently see a lot of the cool kids ride the la Paulade Polymers.

  • I'm a square lip fan, I mainly like riding Green and Yellow Kevin Reimers. The greens are my do-all wheel. They have enough grip for light DH runs, even with the skin off. They are also good at standup freeride if you're on a rough or slippy pavement.

I just picked up a set of 75.5 Mango alpas and I'm excited to try those out too, I hear they're great for freeride.

For a decent, budget-friendly DH grip wheel I've been going for the muirskate podiums / phat boyz. They did really well at maryhill for me.

  • Kevins (I'm afraid of grip)

  • @John Oliver purple kegals have been a go to that I honestly love, and kevos.

  • Pantheon karma's kinda haul

  • I'm riding Blank Wheel Co slates most of the time, good affordable.... I am the company. All tantalizing things. But I did set out to make a wheel I liked when I released them. Favorite wheel I've ever skated. Wouldn't have released them if they weren't

  • Grip? Mags
    Slip? Mav pros

All weirdness aside with 88wheelco and the fact that my wheels are swirled, I've heard great things about them from all my homies. I also enjoy them.

  • Surprised no one speaks highly of the 77a happy thane wheels from Otang. The in heats were so good for open road riding. I imagine the kegals would be great too.
