Gonna be posting my thoughts and finds on the Cast Rogue 160's.
They come stock with 90a venom urethane all around at a lively 48 degrees and 160mm width. My first board to test them on is going to be the Comet Ethos for neighborhood Freeride. I think the 90a inserts will be just fine, I might experiment with running bushing shims for them to take standard sized bushings to see how that changes the feeling. Will report back after shredding as been accomplished!
I've been loving them with seismic bushings on my top mounted nexus
I have 3 Zenit Draft. One of them is set up for freeride and lots of slides. I used to ride it with Bear Gen 6 ti 180 mm trucks and Orangatang Kegel 80mm 80A wheels. I switched to Rogue Cast trucks in 160mm some weeks ago.
I find them less twitchy, more stable, but not less lively at all !! In fact, I really love them. They are more controlable on powerslides I tend to find. And they can really keep up for some downhill or speedier runs.
They are a good do it all DH-freeride oriented trucks. The insert bushing really works fine !
Their only downside for me, is their paint is really fragile and cheap. Do not hesitate to remove the paint and polish them
