Roast it! Owen and Abuga, do your worst

  • My prototype mini byron flight deck, Aera K3's, Powell prototype 72mm race wheels (80a), Bones Race Reds, Bones Hardcore roadside bushings, Bones protoype board side bushings, Harcore griptape, .250" aluminum riser plates, and a Rogers Bros. adjustable footstop.

  • It's even harder to roast knowing what the full release colorway is going to be on the new Byrons ;)

  • @Spencer Patton secret :3

  • Any particular reason for the aluminium risers??

  • @F Llabata k3s is low

  • @F Llabata I couldn't find any 6 hole risers that weren't wedges locally, and I didn't want to wait for shipping so I took some aluminum plate and made my own.
Plus the raw aluminum finish compliments the aluminum footstop 😎

  • Gonna need to see some other angles of that deck. I hope that it has the good drops from the OG byron.

  • @Jeff Starzl It does look cool hahahhaha, I was hoping those were sold somewhere to buy a couple. I guess they feel exactly like the baseplate, no weird sounds or anything when skating right?

Also, great job for a handmade metal part ngl, very straight cuts and nailed the corner radii of the base plates 🧐.

  • @F Llabata Nah, no weird sounds or vibrations. I did make sure to try to get the truck bolts as evenly torqued down, just because the aluminum riser plates don't conform to the very slight countours of the deck like a urethane or rubber riser would, and I didnt want to have any potential play or vibrations happening at the riser/deck interface 🤓
