I've been trying a new idea for a few months to improve the grip of my board on my feet. The griptape is certainly an effective solution but it gets dirty, loses stones, gets “clogged” and dulls very quickly, in a few weeks after installation it no longer gives the same feeling and for every race week you have to put a new one if you want to compete at your best level.
Sure, torque blocks and stoppers have come a long way but still, more grip feels better than literal stops. I present you the solution: the parmesan cheesgrater grip
Grips more than lokton while lasting way more, and a bit less than screws without destroying your soles or damaging the board. It's the perfect middle spot, just buy a fine parmesan/citric grater (the pattern that looks like small dots) and glue (loctite) it to your board, then overlap a bit of griptape on the edges just for good measure.
I've been riding mine for 6 months and they are still good as new, grippy, sharp, and without a dot of rust, since (good) cheesgraters are made of food grade stainless steel. The mod is also pretty cheap, just a cheesegrater and sheetmetal scissors to cut to shape and it's good to shred thane 😉😉.
