Why does do some of the same decks have slightly different concave?

  • Decks are pressed in stacks between 3 and 5 at a time usually, depending where in the stack they are they will have a very very slightly different concave.

  • At least Rocket and Happy board co. don't do this. Doesn't really make a lot of sense on more complicated layups, but cheap mass produced plywood decks will be stacked.
And then once they are stored at the warehouse you want the one on the bottom of the stack because it will be the least wraped one 😅
Just buy something built by a skater.

  • @Philipp Murx true, but, sometimes the hand builds aren't perfect either if we as talking about super minor things.

To my knowledge, and someone correct me if I'm wrong but deck co's generally are stored in warehouse ~a month or 2, if a shop has em for a long time that could be a different story depending on storage method. Think bout how long we hold onto decks if we treat em right.
