It's criminal to have ZM1s on an old, beat up, chopped, mostly flat board with no/out of place wheel wells but hey, whatever floats your boat.
@F Llabata On it, I'm making a board worthy of the trucks. Here is the (skeleton of the) mold. Used this board to figure out the concave.
@Kasper Vanweser Yoooooooooo now you're cooking! Do a post after you finish it!
Any plans on materials yet? Are you going to use just plywood or are you going to add some crispy fibers? Also, how are you going to compress the board so that the epoxy cures well and bonds to its maximum potential?
@F Llabata Sure will and for materials a maple 7 ply core wrapped in fibreglass. I'm vacuumbagging the core and after that I shape the board, add some wheelwells (that align with the wheels this time) and hand wrap it like a surfboard.
Sounds awesome! I wish you the best on your project, I'm sure it will turn out great. Any particular reasons why you would want to make your own board or just felt like so?
@F Llabata Combination of wanting my own design of the concave and shape and I'm working on making an aerodynamic board. Hopefully i get some spare time this year so I can make a couple of prototypes for upcoming season at the euro events
@Kasper Vanweser We might meet then, I'm thinking about making a tour next year.
