  • If you get rid of the Powells than it's Fair. I wouldn't say it's good

  • @Brian Lugbill powell hater 😂 what too icy?

  • @Logan Neikirk the dh setup + freeride wheels makes the worst or each come into play

  • @Matt Needs Wheels interesting perspective, I love this setup personally.

  • @Logan Neikirk Thats why its yours not mine hahaha, I also havnt skated your road so my doubts may disapear if i ever ride it. Do you have any clips?

  • @Matt Needs Wheels https://youtube.com/shorts/-iw_y8cbgL4?si=gcsc_ddwvkx47mdg completely different setup but here ya go, probably get clips tomorrow

  • @Logan Neikirk can't hate on this freeride setup. Bet it feels great. I rode those zealous with purple kevos and they feel good.

  • @Sk8bored The zealous + Kevo is straight gas combo

  • @Matt Needs Wheels wack take

Looks good. Footstop is the obvious weak link, kind of ugly on an otherwise sweet build.

  • Def get rid of the Powells and get something good

  • @Brian Lugbill this anti powell thing you've got going on is pretty stupid. What's the problem, you can't standup slide on slick wheels? Just improve your balance dog. People like these wheels.

  • @Brian Lugbill

  • @Logan Neikirk

I don't understand the meme, McDonald's is overpriced & not good imo

    Also regarding Powell

originally when "These" wheels came out, they had a decent formula and made it better. "These" were actually good wheels. Those Formulas were totally lost since then. The new Powell Formulas that came out since then are Mids at best, a liability on roads like magnolia

  • @Brian Lugbill sounds like you are a liability on roads like magnolia

2 examples of magnolia. There's video of mi skating it too on my IG tho this is the best footy of it. Truly a great hill to skate but not on Powells and I encourage anyone to try the hill on Powells to see what I'm saying. You can ask K-Rimes about Magnolia in Colorado, he said the road "scarred" him. Originally Johnny Tsunami from Hawaii was the first to skate Magnolia barefoot and in 2022 I became the 2nd person to skate Magnolia barefoot

  • @Logan Neikirk

matter of fact if you get the chance

Ask K-Rimes about Magnolia and the Pao Duce incident in Brazil

  • Skating barefoot is just stupid. Wow so epic and tough, he did a steep road with no shoes.

If your point is that they are too slick for this specific super gnarly road, that's fine.

But saying that they aren't good in general is wrong. Why do so many people like durable, slick freeride wheels? Is everyone that rides powell just wrong somehow because they like to slide a lot?

Most people most of the time are not skating incredibly gnarly stuff at top speed. The average skate session is freeride skating a local spot, which is a great match for riding powells.

Your argument is like saying that every car but a formula one car sucks because it doesn't perform at the highest possible speed. I wouldn't want to commute an f1 car, and I wouldn't want to corner session on racing wheels. Different wheels have different uses.

  • @Gabriel Fockler spitting facts right there
