Board breakdown.
Made an outtakes vid showing off a cool film angle we tried using a 12 foot boom arm attached to the top of a truck. Definitly got creative for this one. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17xEZiHjm4...
Heya, was wondering if you had to switch out the pivot cups for the cal 3 hangers? If so, what pivot cups did you use?
@F Llabata not at all. I wouldn't skate it without a kick tail and the only wheels that could tackle the conditions were remember peewees. They were kinda grippy still! Chip seal, tar snakes, lumps...
Daaaamn that first road looks skeeetchy, specially for a tech setup. Am I wrong for wanting to skate it?? 😂😂😂
I usually shout something like "overtaking" or "I'm coming" while clapping my pucks and inmediately after I use my whole arm to point the line i'll be taking, since almost everyone will turn around...
I teamed up with a local shop to encourage the pursuit of downhill skating for those who would get inspired by one of these Skate everything downhill styles I find myself getting into. Hope you dig...
@Logan Neikirk Ohhhh I took a look at the Blaze and it looks very very good, lots of short-ish wheelbase options and good width for 150mm hangers with freeride wheels, which I already have.... Damn...
@Chris Ramge Boss hawgs were very cool wheels indeed
@Andrew Todd I just through on some og peewees to tackle chip seal. They were not as slides as I would have predicted. Solved the chip seal problem though and made the road skateable.
@Logan Neikirk it's always tripped me out people race on the Blaze with a drop. Must be more of a drop mount. Basically pushes the flushes through the top of the board so they feel like "drops".
@F Llabata Landyachtz blaze and freedive have great drops you can stand atop of without being obtrusive. The blaze is more mellow but both feel great
@Andrew Todd slick shoes and boss hawgs
Great, thanks for the tip! I was honestly looking for the cheese grater, but mostly because I really like Landyachtz. I will take the sacrifice more into consideration now though.
@F Llabata out of most microdrops I've ridden the ones that lean full drop are Defo having that issue. As for the ones which tackle that issue the best so far for me it's been the Pantheon Sacrific...
@F Llabata no particular reason, they just came with that size washer and i don't mind how they feel at the moment
@Gabriel Fockler I couldn't agree more hahahhaha, If you see someone with that under their feet you know it's a menace, setups like that really force you to skate well and improve.
Any real difference between the rhino and the tortuga setups? they look very similar. A part from that, damn, it really looks like you have a setup for everything, I'm jealous.
I love the Airflow shape! I bet it freerides like heaven. Reminds me of the old Wolfsharks. Also crazy amount of custom jobs man, chops, custom lips, mixed trucks... you been fucking around and fi...
I just bought some third hand RAD Max Ballesteros (fun fact, the first owner was Kevin Reimer) and fell in love with them. Well, well, turns out these aren't made anymore and the few that ar...
@Jeff Starzl Oh by the way, I see you are using small flat washers on the trucks, any particular reason? have you noticed any advantage over full size washers?
@Gabriel Fockler I love the feel of the microdrops, but yes, you're right, the vast majority of them force you to put your feet between the trucks to ride comfortably, which is not ideal for moder...
@Kurt Derow Nice video, pretty informative. I was looking forward to get a deck with microdrop for freeride so this was very informative, thanks for the closeup shots too!
@Kurt Derow Never skated tweakers but they looked super fun. On a side note how would they compare to the newer venom freeride wheels?
@Logan Neikirk I remember people calling swingers cheater wheels and how it was a big deal for someone to skate them in my scene. funny how the times have changed and "cheater wheels" like snakes a...
