My Hot Dates for Roan (and Lokton rituals)

  • Boards: Pantheon "Athena" Lisa Peter's pro, Don't Trip Dänger Pros (stock setup), Blue Eyes Krimes 77a. Was inspired by Owen and Jay's dope L shaped implant and made a budget version with a Roger Bros W implant I cut up, feels awesome. Going to take my Meatbike Meatgrinder SK as well (9.3" width 34" long 20" wheelbase), on DT Mollys with stock bushings spherical front and 95a Venom HPF insert rear, Banana Peels are gas ;) Super stoked to go throw some hay with the gang and see possibly the best race of the calendar in person. If you're attending, I've heard from ppl who've skated Roan that it's wide af and the pavement is kinda grippy so choose your wheels accordingly. Hope to see ya there!

  • You on volunteer crew? Me too! Stoked to roll out there from the west coast!

  • @Kurt Derow Yessir, I'm in Asheville so rolling up there with all the NCDH homies. I'll look forward to dappin you up and gettin after it on the crew! Safe travels to the East!

  • Sick set ups man!  did your locked on grip adhere to your lisa pro? Ive heard people have issues. And do you like you meat bicycle? it looks so sick but I havent heard anyone talk about them and there quality. Good luck racing!

  • @Sun Thanks, but I'll just be taking a few hot laps not actually racing. I did have issues getting the Lokton to stick even heating it like I normally do but already had the super glue out for the concave mods, not sure what exactly causes that maybe the finish. As far as Meatbicycle boards, I have two of the maple line and they are super high quality (both 9 plys and very stiff, minimal but functional concave) and some friends have the Carbon/Hemp construction and those are really rad. Hoping to order a custom when he's back in production next year. If you're interested in another small company with awesome quality, a long time local ripper here in NC runs Dissonant Skateboards and will have new decks dropping soon (all maple I believe but don't quote me on that). You can find him on Instagram and place orders through there once the decks drop. I heard he might be taking some to Roan if they're done in time.

  • ahh yea fair enough! and yea thats what i was scared of :/ I dont think ive ever heard anyone actually get it to work with no issues lol. And im glad to hear meat bicycle is good cause they honeslty sound pretty perfect for my next board and they look clean af. Thanks for the plug man I'll have to check Dissonant Skateboards out!
