@Brian Lugbill what don't you like about the Powell's? What would you recommend for a wheel to learn slides? I went with the Snakes strictly to learn slides at lower speeds.
@Matt Needs Wheels I didn't say I thought they were grippy. I have zero assessment to compare them to in DH. I haven't tried any other wheels yet. It is an honest first setup. I have tried a...
@Adventures In Skateboarding phat boys slide maybe ~1/2 the distance of those snakes, Snakes can cause a lack of kickout progression with how slick they are so I do think its a little off t...
@Adventures In Skateboarding Almost anything is going to be better than the Powells
@Gabriel Fockler thanks for the feedback. As I get more runs in and gain some experience, we will hopefully see some wheel progression. I have a set of 78mm Phat Boyz, but haven't tried them...
This looks pretty good overall, I really don't like the 82a snakes though. The 75a are fun, but the newer blue and yellow ones had a bad slick slide to me vs. The good slick slide of snakes. ...
Thanks for checking out the video. I am new to DH and this video captures that for experience and my thoughts on it. https://youtu.be/CGjiZDDzOww?si=A9gmMPVzo9IrZOy1

@Brian Lugbill I wanted to try this but I couldn't get the brake soles installed securely enough. Too many concave features on my soles, I guess.
@SKATETECH Thank you! That's a good idea about the risers. I'm actually doing something similar on another setup in order to mount the rear baseplate further forward than the flush mount would othe...

Suggestion: Using back foot weight to initiate will always have you pendying, I see no back foot kick out, use some of your freeride wheels to lock in a better kick out.
@John Hower Absolutely love this setup! I saw the process of your trucks getting anodized blue and dig that color. That blue has to be one of my favorites. Just a thought though o...
I have seen 1 other person skate like this. So your no the only one. But in my opinion 150 paris and snakes are your friends.
I personally dont like weights but the Don cause im interested in the robots. And im still used to small boards, and small trucks. All the setups are dope though.
Happy board co thunder v2, Zealous v1s 111-124, front 73/77 back 93/97, Zealous bearings and at the moment 88 wheelco mcflys. I do a mix of skating on it freeriding, ane downhill, depending on my w...

@Eric Sparrow I'm not sure how it works at Abec 11 but I know when I talked with the owner of Seismic he said that they are always tweaking the formulas a little bit. Yah it's the same ...
@Brian Lugbill reflex has a bad slide to it & classic formula is kinda slow & wears poorly Reflex wasn't ever designed to be a slide formula, that was always their g...
These type of setups you gotta do a few barefoot runs to get the feel for
