Last week's episode (featuring Owen Fox) had a line that made my brain tickle: The difference between riding longboards downhill, and riding a downhill skateboard. I take a look at my quiver pic and all of these are distinctively longboards. The whole idea of a quiver at large was to have one board for each situation - barring a few exceptions (my Gravity Games setups, along the wall on the left, which I purchased for mostly collectible reasons), all of those boards are purpose-built with a specific idea in mind.
I keep listening because of things like the line above - Zak is asking great questions and getting true stories from the guys I grew up watching on TV (Rick Kludy, Lee Dansie), or BS'ing with on sites like Silverfish (Max Capps, Danny Connor). The Venom Skate Podcast hits all the right buttons for me, delving into the history that inspired me to pick up a longboard, as well as harnessing the stoke that I once felt before I became trite and jaded.
I highly suggest you give it a listen!
