The griptape hack job on the theory is fine. The sicktail is just an insult to the already dope ass concave the board has, however it does speak to your inability to skate properly. You probably mo...

@Matt Needs Wheels I get you. I'm not familiar with 2 hand Tony's; is that a pendulum slide type deal?
https://youtu.be/S20jEs8zgWQ?si=Yh6urSOV5nsKO7DV were you skating 8 years ago? what do you remember from this time period? LMK
@F Llabata so the Theory was my main board about a year ago until I got the Chaisy. my older brother needed a new deck cause his was delaming like crazy ( hence the loaner board title) so he ...
You don't replace them after every session? You're cooked. Nah just kidding, I would swap them each spring maybe? It's hard to feel when they're worn out, but I can tell when I put i...
Diy roja hangers, very swaggy.
I dig it. That rocket is really clean, basically the same as my setup. I really love those zealous trucks for all around freeride/downhill. Why do you have that crazy bushing mix in ...
@Anthony Daniels I think healside is far easier to learn, I think toesides are easier to learn right unless someone makes you learn 2 hand Tony's.
I'll immediately address the elephant in the room: These are NOT DJERBA'S! They are custom Rojas Hangars, designed to interface with old Rojas Hybrid baseplates. Specs: Deck: Custom Prototype Rac...
@F Llabata The tkps turn very aggressively. I also tend to run really soft bushing setups for my weight. I've bombed on them quite a bit over the last decade but I probably wouldn't take them over ...
Yeah very similar, I mainly use the rocket for everything now. The ones with the rogues i use for slalom and commuting because it's very light. The Ronins don't get much use these days.
Hi All, I use aftermarket riptide bushings and pivots, and am just curious when they should be replaced? I've never gotten a tear, but have replaced them when one face turns a bit bl...
@David Serate whatever works for you really. I liked cannons and magnums for freeride in my paris. Id use whatever regular barrels match your weight with ldp
@Gabriel Fockler Thanks, I appreciate your reading and response. And on the grab, sure, I can see that. I always assumed I was in the minority recommending no grab. But bear in mind my advice does ...
These are all basically the same setup.
I really hate don't turns, but some people defend them. (I think that they are just defending that they cheaped out on precisions, but that's another matter) 🤣
I would prefer a riptide inside foot stop, but this is clean. Nice build 👌
Pretty good advice. My only gripe - grabbing rail is better imo. Keeps your shoulder in a safer position, automatically keeps your weight in the front, its just easy mode. Seems like...
Too much foot stop, not enough grip tape
Tkp on the comet is suspicious, but this is a premium 2010s quiver for sure.
@Matt Needs Wheels there's no accounting for taste i guess. Perhaps this is a use case split - toe higher makes sense for standup, heel higher for glovedown.
@Daniel Lindsey wait a min, i'm like 40 mins from Honesdale, you tellin' me there's spots out there?
I've been fortunate enough in my time skating down hills to have never broken a bone. Drink your dang milk folks. Though I've certainly had my share of gnarly spills, here's a few examples; Skatin...
@Matt Needs Wheels I see, so you feel toesides more intuitive to learn? Well, it is sort of a subjective matter. My experience could have been affected by what I paid more attention to learning at ...
@Logan Neikirk I have hundreds of yoyos, including dozens of OD. Favorite is the MarkMont classic, but I prefer yoyorec for 1a. I'd be willing to bet I have at least one Duncan that would make you ...
