@Eric Sparrow There us not a general longboarding section, the gear section is for everything, what else did you have in mind that overlaps a lot between different types of types of skating?  ...
I haven't seen an off-topic or meme section. Also, is there a "general longboarding" section to discuss just general longboard stuff?
@David Serate no doubt planning on testing it out once the mail gets delivered lol. I have tried that setup with the Riptide APS Kores that come with them and wasn't a huge fan, but I hear the Veno...
@Philipp Murx Your pivots have issues before you have a gap tho. The same way your bushings feel different, so do the pivots, pre gap.
Another note on directional: I also use a short barrel roadside on my rear kingpin only. Might be worth a try!
@Gabriel Fockler Agree, I've been impatiently waiting for tall on both sides tho.
As you're trying directional freeride (split angles, split duros) I would give running a insert bushing in the back and a spherical up front a try. It's what I personally use & enjoy
I've been running the stock setup in these trucks since I got them (80/80 and 95/95 tall) and was wanting to go fully in the fast freeride direction with them now that I have Danger Pros. Went and ...
In my experience you should swap bushings about every 3 years. After 4-5 years they changed so much that replacing them with the same kind will feel different and you will have to get used to the n...
@RatBürger Matters the use I guess, but for dh specificly the small cost savings isn't worth it to me compared to being 1000% certain you wont have a gear issue there. If they are not working ...
@Andrew Todd yeah ive always used them with pats interts since theyve came out.
@Matt Needs Wheels Any explanation as to why? They function fine and aren't visibly worn. I know the WFB lubricated 'thane technically has a 5 year lifespan, though I haven't had issues with them s...
@RatBürger NGL u should change em
@F Llabata has about as much concave as the obsidian so I bet it works like they were made for it lol
I bet you have to trim wheels that are too wide. Boom roasted
I've never had to replace Riptide pivots due to wear, and I've had some for 7+ years in some trucks. Riptide bushings hold up very well over time as well. Generally bushings will compress and becom...
@Jon LaPlant Thats totally fair. I dont have any experience with the Cal3s but id like to try them. I agree with you that if they do re release the Savants something does have to be updated more th...
Hey everyone, if anyone in the humboldt county area wants to skate let me know. DM me @andrewrtodd. Lets get a scene up and running
@Andrew Todd i have a set of 165 savants. Ive swapped them out for caliber 3s back and forth like 3 times to see which ones i really prefer. The calibers imo are a lot better. They feel really cons...
@bhr The poor man's aera return, and Savants are actually such good trucks, I am super stoked on this. I am curious what width they will be though. Hopefully something in the range of 140-150mm.
the Exile footstop is a solid bit of gear. the dimpling you added to your preferred side isn't lost to my eye . nice setup
I'm thinking of switching from venom bushings in my valks to seismic. Rn I'm running 73/8/93/95 talls anyone know how that would translate to seismic?
Have a brand new 46 want a 30, will trade or pay
@RatBürger im lucky that i havent had any bad crashes impact wise (knock on wood). Two stand out tho. Learning hands down toes i was going oretty fast pushing my speed and did a pretty bad pen...
