I wanted a thread for Valkyries because I was curious about the differences in the different Valkyrie truck models. I've owned two sets, they were both MK3 DH's, the first being 145-155 45/Ad...

Respectfully disagree. They're made out of rubber mats. Worse board feel and grip, generally not as good as free brakes. Maybe if you're luging or footbraking primarily, that's fine....
@Gabriel Fockler - you obviously haven't tried Fiend Skate Supply's soles if Free Brakes are your only choice. Free Brakes are great and I never had a complaint until I tried Fiend's. Wh...
Gimmie the chopping board I don't think I'd like the feeling of all that wheel-poke on the 4" wide carbon Penny. But maybe that wouldn't matter the Mags were swapped with the K-Rimes? 🤔
You can also pay a shoe repair shop to do the installation. There's a place by me that charges $28 to do it. They put the shoes into a press, so they get attached very securely + tri...
If you tag someone in the upcoming IG post anouncing this you get an aditional prize if you win! The IG post in question is not up yet though. Edit: Post is live June 8th.
Welcome to the forum. Thank you for being here. We've got some cool sh*t we want to hook you up with. Here's what we have available and what you gotta do to get it: HERE...
What are brakesoles? Brakesoles are a layer of rubber added to the bottom of a shoe. This is common in downhill communities to increase grip on the board and increase the durability of the shoe's ...
They're pretty fun at jones, just don't 90 blast them or they'll be toast.

Something to consider in terms of slop as well is that there can be a point of no return. Keeping an eye on your cast trucks is something that everyone riding them should do. Once you start wearing...
@David Serate They merged about 6 years ago after not making enough to keep the doors open according to what they officially said and word on the street. In all honesty I simply don't have the cash...
Definitely grab one! You can't go wrong with an Earthwing double kick. They always deliver.
Idk if Powell washes ALL of the wheels that leave the factory, but I do know that we send out batches of wheels to get washed after they're de-molded and cooled down, but before printing graphics a...
I really really really really want a blunt 33 now. I've been thinking about it for a hot second. My first real DH board was a 34" EW hoopty with the fiberglass
Cores: The hard plastic piece inside the urethane that attaches to the bearings. Large cores: Large cores tend to decrease the overall weight of the wheel. Less urethane in the wheel...
I would stock up now if you love them because I heard that they are discontinued as Muirskate is merging with Motion Boardshop.
Markers are a super sick mess around at faster freeride speed, or doing some glove downs in the 30-40 mph range. They are at there best for the first 2-3 sesions out of the package wheel IMO. These...
Rad, I'm looking forward to seeing some more wheels tested on it beyond LDP! I'll be on the lookout for the video.
@Zach Maxon Yup, literally have a quick post on this written up and am planning on a vid to go with it. Duro checker comes in today.
@Gabriel Fockler Me neither, I've never seen this type of marketing in DH in a weird way. Just to reiterate, the point at hand is how it MAY be used to promote a product that would otherwise not be...
